Just like there is good food and bad food for your body to consume, there are also supplements that are good for your body and supplements that are bad for your body. There are companies that miss lead consumers to increase their revenues through “trick wording” and visual aids. Most important, how you use the supplement is key to the response you will encounter. Supplements include vitamins, protein shakes, protein bars, etc. Below, I discuss only a few popular supplements used today in the fitness world. These supplements are “result helpers”, natural and aid the body in the gap between getting what it needs and what you are giving it through your normal food intake. If you have a question about a specific supplement, I would first suggest doing internet research. If you don’t’ have the time or motivation to do the research, considering my Supplement Consulting service.
Whey Protein:
Why protein is a natural supplement that is beneficial when used properly. Depending on numerous factors, Whey protein can and should be used as part of your every day diet. The amount of whey protein you consume is generally determined by the amount of grams of protein you are consuming in a day, through your regular food intake. Whey protein helps to ensure you receive the needed amount of protein so your body does not look to eating muscle to get its needed daily protein.
Enzymes:
If you’re working out and taking in protein to develop the right amount of muscle mass, you should also be taking in an enzyme. When we eat protein, our body can only consume around 30 grams of protein at a time. When we’re trying to gain lean muscle or muscle mass, we will need to take in more protein. Taking an enzyme breaks down the amount of protein we are ingesting. By doing so, we are able to benefit from the right amount of protein we are taking in. If not, our body will only process a small amount and pass the rest through. We waste money, protein and we struggle to get the results we want.
Protein Bars:
If you have been to a supplement store lately, you probably noticed the walls of all the different protein bars. Some protein bars have ingredients you will want to avoid. If you want to lose weight, you may want to consider a low fat bar. If you want to gain, you will want to consider other options. With any supplement, the most important thing you can do is read the label and be educated on ingredients. Similar to whey protein, protein bars are a great and healthy alternative for in between regular scheduled meals or when you don’t have much time to eat. Consider a protein bar as a healthy snack in place of chips or candy from the work vending machine.
Muscle Gain:
NO-Xplode Is a pre-workout supplement that produces results in energy, size, strength, mental focus, and training intensity. No-Xplode is known for “working” within minutes after the consumer takes it.
No-Xplode is a natural supplement used by people looking to gain muscle, in combination with a healthy physical fitness plan. NO-Xplode supplement amplifies mental focus, performance, strength, & training intensity. NO-Xplode won the Muscle Builder Of The Year and Nitric Oxide Of The Year Award for 2005, 2006 and 2007!
NO-Xplode introduces nitric oxide, creatine, and a “body-mind stimulating surge” that assists with your workout. NO Meta-Fusion opens the door to vaso-muscular enlargement increasing sustaining Nitric Oxide (NO) levels. NO widens the blood vessels, which in turn accelerates blood flow to the muscle. This blood surge causes pumps and a rapid increase in the overall size and shape of your muscles. Veins will stick out like a garden hose and your muscles will increase when combined with a solid physical fitness plan.
Multivitamins:
Most people should be taking a multi-vitamin everyday. Although we get our nutrients from the foods we consume, we cannot get our full daily allowance our body demands. When you workout, the body demands replenishing of nutrients consumed from your workout. I take Men’s Blend by Super Nutrition. It’s organic, all natural and replenishes the body with the right amount of nutrients.
